2013 Stitching Clubs

We have two Stitching Club Programmes for this year: The first is an Alphabet Sampler spread over 9 months. This project is a showcase for overdyed threads and worked on hand dyed linen. It uses cross stitch, herringbone stitch and Algerian eyelets. You will receive 3 letters a month. Sampler is worked on 30 count linen and design size is 25 x 79 cm. Cost for this project is $100 for 1st instalment and then $22.00 for the next 8 months. Starts June.

The second project is a Mystery Sampler from Diane Williams of Little House Needleworks. Many of you will be familiar with LHN as we have featured many of their designs over the years and they have a lovely fresh appeal. This is a 3 part series called Song of the Seasons and the teaser gives you an idea of what you are in for. It is worked on Weeks Dye Works 30# hand dyed linen with Weeks overdyed threads. Cost is $50 for Part One and $25.00 for Parts Two and Three. Starts June/July

The format is a bit different this year. There are 4 charts in the series. Each will include a main sample + 2 bonus charts. The main samples are intended to be stitched separately but follow the vintage reproduction theme and are in the well recognised Blackbird Design style.
No.1 is the Mary Ann Blackburn Sampler.

Dans Ma Rue - ‘In My Street’
This project will be sent out monthly in 8 parts, starting after Easter.
Each part costs $49.90 plus postage for the complete kit, which is pre-printed linen, threads and instructions. This is a specially discounted rate just for this project. Normally the kits cost more but bulk buying allows us to offer a small discount.
Some parts have extra hearts and fill in pieces.
At the end of the project we will give you a price for the linen and tape if you choose to finish it as a wall hanging.

A Schoolgirls book of Needlework
This project is an amazing wool book by Island Cottage Needlearts.
Each page has a different custom dyed wool fabric with a mini sampler stitched on 35 count linen which is attached to the wool page and another design for the back.
Each month there are 2 designs.
You receive the dyed wool & linen for the designs (we will be offering Permin lambswool linen)
You can select to have 32 count linen instead of 35 and your stitching will be a bit bigger.
There are no threads included. The design calls for Belle Soie silks from Crescent colours. We will order in a couple skeins of these for each page and give you an approximate conversion to dyed cotton threads or you can choose your own colours.
Cost is $19.90 per month plus postage without the threads. There are 12 parts . We will be running behind in months of course as we are almost in March and they started in January in the States but that’s ok. We will run to our own time table.
First 10 will start in March.

2011 Stitching Clubs

Loose Feathers Club This Year’s project is a three-part sampler released in August, October and December. Each of the three leaflets also includes two bonus designs. With the first instalment you receive 30# hand-dyed fabric big enough for the whole sampler and the chart for Part One with any threads you need. The second and third instalments will be just the chart and any extra threads. The designs use hand-dyed threads, a mix of Crescent Colours and Gentle Art Threads. We are offering these threads at a 20% discount for the main sampler (not bonus patterns). DMC alternatives are provided but the discount does not apply here. Costs:
