Biscornu Club

We came up with this idea because there are so many gorgeous Biscornu patterns out there and they are a fabulous way to use up left over bits of fabric and try out special threads.
Biscornu translates literally as ‘mis shapen’ but more commonly as ‘quirky’. They are funny shaped tiny pincushions and look fabulous in a collection.

biscornu = oddly shaped, twisted, and by extension weird (it's pronounced bee-ss-corn-uh)

bis means twice, and cornu "with horns" or that resembles a horn.

We provide you with a different pattern each month. We will endeavour to bring you quite different ones from more obscure sources than the usual, though we won’t overlook stunning examples from our regular suppliers.

Most will be the chart only or maybe some with special embellishments or threads, but occasionally if there is a kit too nice to pass up we will include one. Prices will vary with Charts being $25-$35. Kits and embellishments will be extra. To join send in postal and credit card details and you can look forward to a lovely surprise each month.

This is suited to intermediate stitchers as there are some challenges in the construction, but once you have mastered it you will build up a collection to be envied.
