August 2010 Newsletter

Now that Conference is over and we survived the cold we can move onto other things. It must have been the coldest weekend of the winter and we Aucklanders are certainly not used to that. Even some of the South Islanders were complaining. We did connect with some of our far away customers and that was nice.

We have done a bit of work on the website. Our pincushions which we released at Conference went really well and are now up on the website on the Kits page. Click here to see. If you werenâ€™t able to partake of our Passion for Pincushions Club then you might like to pick one or two favourites. They make nice Christmas presents.

We have also changed the format of our Whatâ€™s New Page which will make updating a bit easier and more frequent hopefully.

We had a chat with Jane van Keulen at Conference and as a result we will be stocking some of her threads and kits which are very interesting. These are creative embroidery supplies. We will start with a selection of silk threads and dyed velvet fabric and some of her kits. These are an ever changing range and bound to please the non-cross stitchers. More details when it all arrives later this month.

Also new to our range is Helen Dafterâ€™s Silk Ribbon. 60 colours and all of them gorgeous.

If you go to the Whatâ€™s New page you can see the fabulous ranges of marking pins we are now carrying. These are great for enhancing needlecases and pincushions and make interesting gifts.
